Candle Care

• Place candles on a stable fire resistant surface away from flammable objects and/or drafts.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended. extinguish the flame before leaving the room.
• Allow your candle to burn for at least 3-4 hours on its first burn to avoid tunneling.
• Trim your wick to 1/4" before relighting your candle to keep your wax clean and avoid soot.
• Do Not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
• Keep Candles out of reach of children and pets.

Where are your candles made? Our candles are made in Luther in a small non-commercial studio.

Does the scent last through the entire life of the candle? Yes, we use quality fragrances in our candles that last until the very last burn!

Do the candles burn evenly? Yes! We pride ourselves in providing clean, even-burning candles for you to enjoy in your space with ease of mind!

Do the candles give off black soot? No, they will not give off black soot as long as the wicks are properly trimmed.

Are there any benefits of cotton wicks versus zinc wicks? Yes, cotton wicks do not release any toxins, give off less soot, help with an even burn, and are from a biodegradable and renewable resource.

I've been told for years that fragrance is toxic, how do you offer non-toxic candles that have synthetic fragrances in them? We source our fragrances from one supplier only. This supplier has a whole team of scientists and team who spent years reformulating their fragrances to provide candle makers with more transparency of fragrance ingredients. All of their fragrances they offer are phthalate-free and do not contain any ingredients on California's Prop 65 list. We will not ever use any other supplier for our fragrances.

Can I return my order? We do not offer any returns or exchanges unless there is damage to a product upon arrival. Please inspect your order upon receiving. If there is any discrepancy please reach out to us within 30 days by emailing info@westmichigancandleco.com with pictures of all sides of the package, broken item(s), and packaging.
